Hi, I'm Maria!
I'm Passionate About Helping Others Become Who They Are Meant to Be.
I'm a faith-based coach who understands what it's like to feel stuck, overwhelmed and feeling inadequate. And I've got good news for you, this all changed when I realized that the stories I was telling myself were creating my personal and emotional experience.
Take Wendy, for example. She was caught in a cycle of self-criticism because she felt she was lacking in managing her time and her home. She bought planners and calendars to help. But neglecting to put her tasks on paper wasn't the cause of her self-criticism--her negative self-talk was. Through coaching she was able to uncover specifically what was getting in her way of properly managing herself and her home while at the same time realizing that she needed to replace her negative talk with self-accountability and holding self-compassion at the same time.
I'll be honest with you, I have been there too. I've been been married for 25 years, I have five children, and I homeschool our younger kids. On the outside, I might have fooled some people that my life was wonderful. But on the inside, I was stressed, maxed out, and never feeling like I was enough. So consequently, I was feeling underwhelmed about the kind of mom and wife that I was being, which was a grumpy, overwhelmed, disgruntled one.
But then, I discovered the truth that I actually had more control than I thought about my situation, and then everything changed. Now, through coaching I help adults discover the same transformation in their own lives!
What makes my coaching unique and different? I bring my Catholic faith into coaching. I apply Thomistic Psychology, Ignatian Discernment and JPII's teaching of what it means to be a human person into our time together.
